FutureMe:
Powered by Hope AI

Every student deserves safe, inspiring, and personal guidance about their future. Hope AI is built for classrooms, with guardrails that keep students safe and give teachers confidence.

Hope AI

At the beating heart of our work is Hope AI—our human-guided AI system that blends cutting-edge technology with a deeply humanist philosophy, designed to inspire students and amplify what humans do best.

Safe

Self-moderating to stay factual and not mislead students. We give AI instructions to stay in character as a mentor, never drifting into unsafe or irrelevant topics.

Inspiring

AI magnifies the intent of the humans who build it. We built Hope AI to be inspiring, inclusive, curious and ambitious - our organizational values.

Human

AI’s role is to free humans to do what only humans can do: build relationships, exercise judgment, lead, imagine. We design our AI experiences to reinforce human strengths.

Engaging

Our AI and tools are designed and built by former teachers to be simple to use, engaging in the classroom, and maximize learning impact.

Real Classrooms. Real Impact.

Loved by Teachers and Students Across the Country

As a CTE Advisor, I watched FutureMe completely reshape how we do career exploration. It helped us grow from 49% to 94% pathway completers in just two years. But more importantly, it helped every student find a direction—and a sense of purpose—for their future.

Mrs. Charm Hopkins
CTE Advisor, Sutter Union High School in California

I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to college or how that was even possible. I talked to Hope about what I liked and my situation. Hope helped me find two options and a path I didn't know existed and that had classes that I was actually interested in.

Archer
2023 Graduate, Hawaiian Academy of Arts & Science

I had a student who went into FutureMe convinced they knew what they wanted to do after high school only to have their interests broadened and their eyes opened to more opportunities they hadn't thought of before.

Mr. Anthony Cilli
CTE Digital Arts Teacher from the Carbon School District in Utah

FutureMe has allowed our students in Flint to explore career pathways many of them have only dreamt about. FutureMe has given them an opportunity to ask questions and receive answers about their future, possible interests and employment. Real life and real time conversations opened the door to more questions and curiosity.

Mr. Todd Hartley
Director of Learning, 2nd Street Learning in Michigan

FutureMe helped me find certifications and high-value credentials for good employment. I could match [community college] programs I found in Arizona back to FutureMe to find out: do these schools lead to the best employment opportunities? And find out how long it would take me to get where I want to be.

Our History

Two Decades of Pushing
Education Forward

Since 2003, our organization has worked at the intersection of education and workforce
systems, inspiring, connecting and building confidence of millions of students.

Future Readiness for High School Students

  • Rebuilt Hope Street as an AI-native nonprofit working at the intersection of education and workforce to get students ready for their futures
  • Launched version 1 of FutureMe by Hope Street, demonstrated that well-designed AI products can build career confidence at scale, and engage every student in the classroom
  • Pilots with 84% of students demonstrating better academic integration, noting links between school and careers

Workforce and Cross-Sector Pathways

  • Obama White House announces Health Career Pathways, “brought together by Hope Street Group,” with founding communities adopting a common career pathways model
  • Partnered with Walmart to create the Retail Opportunity Network to co-design career pathways linked to credentials and advancement opportunities

Teacher Leadership

Partnered with the Gates Foundation to launch the National Teacher Fellowships

  • First-of-its-kind program to cultivate teacher leaders, push the common core and advance education policy
  • Leading to the creation of 5 state level programs (UT, NC, TN, HI, KY)
  • Fellowship program developed 3K teacher leaders across the country

Founding

In 2001, on South Hope Street in Los Angeles, CA, a group of entrepreneurs, business leaders and technology professionals were concerned about the future of the middle class and economic opportunity in the US. With most of the GDP growth gains going to the top 10%, they believed this threatened the fabric of our society and that we needed new solutions to renovate our social systems for the 21st Century. This group formed Hope Street Group in 2003 to address these problems.
