CHALLENGE :: Be a Guest Lecturer at a South L.A. Charter School

Motivated businesspeople and professionals are invited to lead a 30 minute discussion with 8th and 9th grade students about their career paths.  You will help expose kids to a world they get very little, if any, exposure to! 

Background :: The organizer of this challenge, Nick Halaris, has been teaching in View Park Prep for the last two years and every Friday leads a class that teaches the kids about investing, business, history, politics, etc.  The kids are currently managing model portfolios of $1M as mini-hedge funds.  

Come prepared to discuss ::

• How you got where you are
• How to be successful
• Mistakes to avoid
• Steps students should take NOW to position themselves for success in business.
• How to choose a course of study or career path

Where ::  View Park Prep (at Crenshaw and Slauson, run by the ICEF organization)

When ::  Every Friday from 2:30pm – 3:30pm
