What is an Opportunity Exchange?
Hope Street Group is taking its national strategy to the local level by hosting a series of "Opportunity Exchange" dinners in Los Angeles and Denver in 2008. Over the course of several dinners, we will provide local chapter members an open forum to discuss economic opportunity issues affecting your community. The event will also include an opportunity to hear from and speak directly with political leaders helping shape the debate on these issues.
How do Opportunity Exchange dinners create change?
Opportunity Exchange dinners enable Hope Street Group to identify key policy recommendations that can impact your region. Afterwards, we will share your recommendations with regional political, business, and civic leaders at a “Leadership Exchange,” designed to create consensus and real action plans for change.
How will the proceeds be used?
Proceeds from Opportunity Exchange dinners directly benefit the local chapter. Funds will enable the chapter to hire an Executive Director and organize a local Board of Directors. Funds will also support hosting a Leadership Exchange with regional and state leaders.
