Hope Street Group "Friendraiser" and Presidential Debate Party
What do the Presidential candidates have to say about the state of opportunity in America? What are their ideas for reforming our education and health care systems, and for ensuring we remain a prosperous nation where the American Dream is still possible? Please join Hope Street Group on Tuesday, October 7th for a unique "Friendraiser" event consisting of a lively evening of watching the presidential debate, followed by a discussion of how Hope Street Group is building a bi-partisan movement to address some of the most pressing domestic policy issues of our time.
Hope Street Group has developed a new model to develop opportunity-expanding policies, combining the development of ideas with the means to implement them. We do this by :
- Building diverse coalitions around shared goals to increase economic opportunity;
- Developing innovative economic policies and clear action plans for implementation and;
- Using our business, civic and political networks to implement those plans
In just a few short years we have been able to build a substantive links between the public and private sectors, identify and engage diverse leaders such as Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Debbie Stabenow, John Podesta CEO of Center for American Progress, Ken Mehlman Former Chair of the RNC, Allan Golston President of the US Programs of the Gates Foundation, and Andy Stern President of the SEIU to come together and build common agendas, and lay the groundwork for an open source technology platform that will allow young professionals to share and implement innovative policy ideas.
Please join us on Tuesday October 7th from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, at the Stanford Park Hotel, 100 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, California to watch the debates, and learn more about Hope Street Group and what you can do to support our efforts.
