Fair Tax?

As the 2008 Election Season has heated up, with Mike Huckabee closing in on the Republican pack, the "Fair Tax" has gotten a little more media notice.  In short, the plan would eliminate all federal taxes on individual and business income, savings, and productivity.  Instead, it would focus taxes on consumption.  Still heavily debated, one Hope Street Group member, Samuel Roe, submitted his analysis of the Fair Tax on the HSG Exchange this week.

Additionally, I think Jerry Bowyer's "Questions for the Fair Tax Crowd" (Townhall.com, 1/9/08) really does a good job of bringing up some concerns I have about the possible outcomes of implementation.  Hopefully Huckabee will stay in the race long enough for a nation discussion about his preferred tax regime.
