Virtual Groups - Coming Soon

Hope Street Group is currently developing functionality that will offer our members their own community space to select and organize content most relevant to their policy interests. By building a group on Hope Street Group, your members will have a central location to view and post content, participate in ongoing discussions, and eventually share and upload files to the group home page.

National Policy Teams

Currently, all of Hope Street Group's policy papers, action plans, and op-eds are produced by our National Policy Teams, which are volunteer-led groups that "meet" virtually through regular conference calls to tackle some of the most pressing domestic issues facing American today. Members are recruited to National Policy Teams based on expertise in a particular policy area, continued volunteer support of Hope Street Group programming, and online posting that demonstrates critical thinking and an ability to develop innovative, action-oriented policy recommendations.

Local Chapters

Members work with local political, business, and civic leaders on opportunity-expanding projects in their cities. We help local chapter members convene policymakers, practitioners, and the business community at Opportunity Exchanges that support local initiatives to build an Opportunity Economy. Our current work includes an effort to connect low-income Angelenos with green workforce development efforts in Los Angeles. In 2008-09, we intend to expand our Local Chapter efforts to NYC, DC, San Francisco, and Austin. Interested in joining a local chapter?
