Hope Street Group hosts several events per year to convene leaders and practitioners to problem solve around policy innovation. Our events include:
Our Annual Colloquium
Held in Washington, DC each spring, our Annual Colloquium just completed its sixth year. The Annual Colloquium is typically our largest event each year and brings together thought leaders and expert practitioners from across the nation to discuss some of our nation's most pressing policy issues related to education, health, and jobs. Solutions-oriented and inclusive of a variety of viewpoints, the daylong convening presents an opportunity for changemakers from a number of sectors, including business, tech, philanthropy, and government, to learn from each other and work together toward common economic opportunity goals. For more information on this event, please see the tab above.
Bipartisan Working Groups
One of organization's most important elements, the Bipartisan Working Groups (BWGs) encompass our belief that the best solutions come from not just one mind, but the collaboration of many. Each BWG is made up of 10–15 (or more) high-level volunteers and constitutes a series of dinner meetings focused on developing program-specific strategies. For more information on the BWGs, please see the tab above.
Public Education and Awareness Events
Hope Street Group is an advocate of sharing best practices both at the policy level and at the ground level. As such, we host events open to the public that are aimed at offering new insights into issues such as health and wellness, job readiness, and educator support.
Town Hall Meetings
As part of our state-level mobilization work, we regularly seek the input of community stakeholders and enthusiastically share news about our program and progress with those we are trying to reach.
With a focus on engagement and fundraising, these exclusive, region-specific meetings offer a glimpse into unique leadership opportunities within the Hope Street Group network.
