Joy is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner whose primary interest is the connection between social organization and health status. She has a diverse background in health care as a provider, administrator and policy analyst, which includes: large hospital systems, community hospitals, private and non-profit settings. While living in Colorado she was the Clinical Supervisor and Chief Operating Officer for a non-profit women’s health clinic and was a health plan manager for Colorado’s Child Health Plan Plus. Most recently, Joy was a Paul G. Rogers Memorial Scholar with the National Coalition on Health Care.  She is in the process of completing a Master of Public Policy degree at Johns Hopkins University.
