About Us

Hope Street Group, a nonpartisan nonprofit, is working to build a true Opportunity Economy, where everyone has the chance to realize the American Dream and our nation prospers as a result.  We are bringing a new generation of leaders across business, government and civil society into the policy arena in an effort to generate and implement innovative ideas that will tackle pressing national problems.

Our Economic Opportunity Index illustrates that education and health care are the driving factors of Opportunity Economics.  Over the last 3 years, Hope Street Group has convened some of the nation’s most influential leaders, through our Bi-partisan Working Groups and Annual Colloquia, to build consensus around reasonable solutions and drive change.  These leaders remain committed to our mission and continue to help us expand our coalition for reform.  Within education and health care we are focusing our priorities on key levers: reinventing teacher effectiveness and primary care.

Our model of policy development connects reform minded practitioners to collaborate on solutions and implement them in partnership with our leadership network. We call this approach Policy 2.0 and believe it produces better outcomes using open innovation and a shared sense of ownership. Our online social media platform (beta at www.hopestreetgroup.org) enables us to scale our model and include contributors from across the country in the policy dialogue. It is essential to our success that we expand our mobilization efforts by building an active national network of contributors and strategic partner organizations to realize the full impact of Policy 2.0.   We are a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial organization, and are looking for an exceptional person to drive our next phase of development.
