Improving teacher evaluation is the cornerstone of education reform. We need to know which teachers are effective in order to reward excellence, help struggling teachers improve, and ensure a high-quality education for every child.

How you can help:

• Explore the Pilot Project: Teacher Evaluation Systems. For three months this summer, our policy participants explored the problem of improving teacher evaluation systems and contributed to a final report. The report will be launched at an event in Washington, D.C. at the National Press Club on October 26th. You can read the report, and explore the project community.

• Sign up to join our next policy team and help identify 10 major systems primed to adopt our recommendations. Hope Street Group will then, with the help of our policy participants, create a targeted advocacy strategy in each system and build an online community to see that strategy through.
