Doug Clark is a special education teacher of grades K-4 at Mina Elementary School in Bastrop, Texas. He advocates for world-class public education with a special emphasis on special needs learners and previously wrote and produced a documentary for PBS that presented the challenges and opportunities working with special needs children who are deaf and blind. He is a strong supporter of the tools for continuous quality improvement as applied in an educational setting. Doug led one of the teams of teachers that in 2009 developed a set of recommendations by teachers for teacher evaluation reform that has been driving Hope Street Group’s work in this area.
